Tom was the Project Architect for the redevelopment of Wallington Square shopping centre in Sutton. The square is being redeveloped to provide a modern retailing experience with new build shops, new paving, street furniture and a new lighting scheme.

The pedestrianized thoroughfare will be covered with a lit self-supporting translucent tensile fabric canopy which will create a striking feature, protect the shoppers from the elements, and create an environment suitable for cafes and restaurants to have tables and chairs beneath. The scheme also includes thirty new one, two and three bed flats over the new retail units, which will be split into two blocks with roof gardens between. Planning Permission has been granted and works are due to begin on site in the autumn of 2014.
